This is in my parents' back yard. Their backyard is beautiful, and this is only part of it. Seriously. Like it should be in a magazine.
Since it's so freakin' hot outside, I wanted an easy project for my mom that I could do {mostly} inside. I love the tiered fruit/dessert stands, so I thought I'd make one of those for her. (Especially since she's one of Alabama's best bakers, in my honest opinion.)
I found some fun, summer-y plates at Big Lots....
Picked up some E-6000 at Walmart and one of those cheap brass candlesticks that you've probably walked past a dozen times at the thrift store. (I don't have a "before" picture of the candlestick, but you know the ones I'm talking about.)
Aren't those plates fun and perfect for summer?!
Now... I tried to start on one of these tiered stands last week, but I had an
Oh my goodness! What a difference! The paint went on so well, and I used two thin coats for good coverage.
Glued it together... and Voila!!
