This past weekend, Hubs and I decided we were going to replace the sink in bathroom in our basement. We don't use the bathroom much, and I've always been kind of embarrassed when we've had guests and they had to use that bathroom. When we moved in, we just painted the walls, added some decor and called it a day (or years).
The bathroom sink is in a time warp. It's one of those shell-shaped sinks, circa 1972. The plunger was missing, and it just wasn't cute. So Hubs and I went on a search for a new sink.
We found our replacement at Southeastern Salvage. Isn't she a beauty??
I only took one "before" picture of the 70's bathroom. {You'll be able to see the bathroom's "bones" you see the "after" picture.} Check out that color. Like Terra Cotta. What was I thinking??
Have you ever had a mess like this in your house?
This has been our basement all weekend. Ugh!
And now this is in our backyard!
Did you think of Hilly from the movie, The Help? :)
I can't wait to show you how far the bathroom has come.

Can't wait to see the after pictures!
Good luck with the bathroom renos!
It amazing how we can look at a color we once loved and go? What was I thinking? I've done that several times, but feel it probably was a in color in its time. That's why its fun to change out. Cant wait to see you need bathroom minus the seashell basin! So glad you shared your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best!
Love that sink!! I can't wait to actually rip everything out and completely redo our outdated bathroom...but for now I should probably work on designing the master bathroom that doesn't exist off of our master bedroom , lol! priorities, priorities! ;)
The basin is beautiful! I would love to invite you to share this on Saturday Show and Tell: (www.cheeriosandlattes.com/saturday-show-tell-20/). I know that my readers would appreciate this and some of your other posts. Thanks and have a great weekend.
