See, when Hubs and I moved in 7 years ago, the basement had wallpaper and paneling on the walls and industrial-type carpet on the floor.
Well... I came home one day to find Hubs pulling the wallpaper off of the walls and scraping up the carpet off of the concrete subfloor.
At that point, we laid tile in the entire basement and re-painted. {Tired yet?}
What colors? A yellowy brown on the walls and dark brown for the paneling. (Think peanut butter and chocolate.)
Fast forward 5 years....
We repainted part of the basement. There was one section that we didn't get to (for 2 years). Until last week.
Hubs painted the primer on Wednesday and the two top coats on Friday. On Thursday, he painted the ceiling grid black. (Black? Yes - it looks GREAT!)
On Saturday, I had a marathon of cutting in and painting the paneling. (Dusty Dune above the paneling and white on the paneling.) I also had the super-fun job of painting the ceiling grid next to the walls.
Then Sunday, Hubs cut new baseboards and quarter-round. Fun weekend, I tell ya!
I didn't take any pictures during the process, but I do have some after that I will show you tomorrow.
And...I've got some crafting to do for my new space! ((giddy))
