I thought maybe I'd share my goals and To-Do List for the week with you, then maybe out of fear of not having anything to share I'd get them done.
{Hubs makes fun of me because my To-Do Lists are always a mile long and keep growing as the day goes on, but I digress.}
Here are my goals for the week:
1. Plan menu for week. Write menu on handy dandy menu board. (Check! Did that Sunday)
2. Finish paint job on front door. (Almost there. Need one more coat.)
3. Finish longest project ever. The basement re-do. Ugh. Caulking is done. One more coat of paint. Yay!
4. Show Hubs what I want to do with pallet wood. (We got 2 pallets of sod delivered for our front yard. Have you SEEN on Pinterest what people are doing with pallet wood???!!!)
5. Do not go to the grocery store all week. no.matter.what. (We gotta stick to our grocery budget!!)
My last goal for the week is to try a lampshade re-do that I found over at Living with Lindsay. This past Saturday I went to a garage sale with my sister and mom and found a drum lampshade for $1.
I'm inspired by Pottery Barn accessories, but they are not in my budget. So.... I'm into PB Knockoffs.
Here's my inspiration:
This shade is from Pottery Barn at $59. Booooo. Again, not in my budget.
Thanks to Gina over at The Shabby Creek Cottage {whose tutorial was featured on Living with Lindsay}, I'm hoping to transform my $1 lampshade into something beautiful!
I'll post pictures when I finish. By next Sunday. Promise.
