Now... I've gotten to where I can drink my coffee black and avoid sweets...
the hardest part is saying goodbye to my beloved Starbucks pumpkin loaf! (Did you know that the first ingredient in the recipe is sugar?! Yum! That's why it's so good!)

I've tried Paleo pumpkin muffins, and they weren't bad. Instead of white sugar, they call for 1/4 cup raw honey. And almond meal instead of white flour.
I'm anxious to try these babies... (ahem, after the 10-day challenge.)

I love the 10-day challenge each month because it gives me short-term goals each day. One of my long-term goals has been to run a 10K this month. It's Sunday. Yikes!
I thought I was ready until I read the email I got today with the race details.
Here's what it said:
10K - New course. First 4 miles are on the Lake Trail, Rattlesnake Ridge, and the Family Trail. Rolling double and single track most of the way. Final mile is steep hills on the horse and hiking trail.
That's just not nice!!
My hands are sweating again as I type this. I'm nervous. Those old feelings start creeping in.... What if I can't do it? What if I'm the slowest one? What if I can't finish? What if I fail?
Ugh!!!
