You all know that I'm on a decorating budget, so I pulled out the decorations from last year and tried to do something a little different. I definitely put my garage sale "B-O-O" pumpkins out, but I still need to create a wreath for the front door. I don't have last year's wreath, and I think I'd like a little more color this year, too.
I DID wait until after Homecoming this year to decorate the mantel. I don't love having a background of Halloween decor in those pictures. :-)
I like the way the mantel turned out, but you'll have to forgive the iPhone pictures!
It doesn't look like this in person. I was playing with the effects in PicMonkey. Do you use PicMonkey to edit your pictures?
Here's my Halloween "masterpiece" (I'm using that term loosely!) I re-used my Dollar Tree chandeliers, skeleton garland, tombstone, pumpkins, and skull. The netting draped across the mirror is from the Dollar Tree, too. I'm not sure what to call the orange-y wired berries on the vine. I love the colors and use it every fall. The black pumpkin I got from my mom, I think, who probably picked it up from a garage sale.
Down below, I simple added squashes from the grocery store. The H is there for now, but I'll find it a new home soon. The horseshoe stays there all the time. It was Hubs when he was in high school, and it reminds me of The Pioneer Woman.
So here it is full-size. I think my dog, Chase, was trying to pretend he wasn't in the picture. It seems kind of fitting that I decorated the mantel on the 13th of October. And I didn't even get a comment from the girls!
How's your fall decorating going?
