Easy, Frugal, DIY Winter Wreath

On Friday, I shared 7 inspiring DIY winter wreaths with you. I was determined to get a new wreath on my door, especially since I've committed to changing out my door decor EVERY MONTH in 2013. I'm on a tight budget, since both daughters are playing club volleyball and oldest daughter is turning 16 this year. Yikes! Hubs and I have some financial goals we want to meet... so, frugal it is!

I really like the way this turned out, even though I was concerned because the wreath is a little on the small side. It's a wreath I bought about a year ago from the Dollar Tree, and I just spray painted it white. (I didn't take pictures of that part.)

I bought these four ornaments a few days after Christmas at Wal-mart. Check out the price tag...

Half-price, too. So 49 cents each! Woohoo!

The ribbon is from JoAnn's after-Christmas sale last year. It was half of $2.99.

I just used 2 ribbons on each ornament, then gathered all the ends and tied them onto the wreath with the knot in the back. I then used a smaller piece of each color and threaded it through the back and made a loop for hanging.

I usually hang my wreaths with fishing line, but this time I opted for a black wreath hanger that matches the door.

I'm excited to have it up since we are having friends over for the big game tonight. Are you going to be watching?
