I've seen many dry erase boards out there in blogland, so I knew that I needed to get my rear in gear and finally make one.
I'm always inspired by the girls over at eighteen25.
Here's their dry erase to-do list:
And here's a menu planner that's just to die for...
This one's over at the Lovingly Thrown blog.
I just wanted wanted one that was in my budget (F*R*E*E) and one that would be cute and functional.
Here's what I came up with...
I'm really pleased with it. I found a frame in the guest room closet that wasn't being used, and the decorative paper is just scrapbook paper. I think gift wrap could be used, too.
On ivory resume paper, I printed the words "Weekly Menu" in the font called Scriptina Pro. I used size 60. (Sixty is not a given option in MS Word, but if you highlight the font size, it will let you enter the size you want.)
I just eyeballed the placement of the words and used a paper cutter to cut the paper down the size of the resume paper. The scrapbook paper was a little wider than the back of the frame (I just used the cardboard back that comes in the frame), so I trimmed it to size with the paper cutter.) I used a glue stick on the cardboard piece along the edges and glued down both pieces of paper. {I intentionally overlapped the scrapbook paper over the resume paper a little.}
Cute, huh? And easy, too! It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish, and that includes finding the supplies, printing, and assembling! :)
How do you keep up with your weekly menu? Leave me a comment and let me know.
